ROOF JOINT

The invention relates to a vehicle body structure (10) having a longitudinal centre, the vehicle body structure comprises a roof panel (12) having a longitudinal centre line. The roof panel comprises a base portion (14), extending from both sides of the longitudinal centre line, and a flanged portion (16). The vehicle body structure further comprises a body member (18) comprising a first and a second abutment surface (20,22), wherein the abutment surfaces are mutually inclined, wherein the first abutment surface projects in a direction towards the longitudinal centre of the vehicle body structure. At least a portion of the base portion is in a substantially parallel overlapping contacting relationship to said first abutment surface. According to the invention, at least a portion of the flanged portion abuts said second abutment surface, and the roof panel is attached to said body member by means of a joint (28) along at least a portion of said second surface.
