Zusammenfassung:This invention relates to novel crystalline forms of valsartan, namely Form A, Form B, Form C, Form D and their solvates thereof. Processes for the preparation of the novel forms are also provided. The present invention further relates to novel processes for preparing a stable amorphous form of valsartan, and in this connection, to the amorphous form of valsartan produced by such processes. The present invention also discloses a novel process for obtaining stable Form I crystals of valsartan.
