Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner (1) which comprises a base device (2) with an electric motor, and a handle (6) which can be plug-connected thereto and has an actuator handle (7), and/or an attached device (9) having an electric motor. The vacuum cleaner also comprises a control unit (8) for controlling the power output of the electric motor, a control information required for controlling the power output of the electric motor being mechanically transmitted from the handle (6) to the base device (2) and/or attached device (9) and being converted to a corresponding control signal for the electric motor. The aim of the invention is to improve the aforementioned vacuum cleaner in regard of the transmission of the control information required to control the electric motor. For this purpose, the control information is determined by the respective position of the mechanical element (18) and the conversion of the control signal in the base device (2) and/or attached device (9) is carried out by optically, magnetically or electromagnetically inquiring the position of the mechanical element (18), which inquiry can in principle be carried out in a contactless manner. |
