The loop acting upon by high-frequency voltage has a loop end portion (22). A helical line shape connection element (16) connects the loop with the loop carrier and has a distal connection element portion (20). The loop end portion and the distal connection element portion form a wedge-shaped cutter (40). An independent claim is also included for a resectoscope comprising a shaft for receiving a device removing organic tissue by high-frequency current.
