Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a device for obtaining a tissue sample, comprising a distal assembly comprising a first jaw including multiple distinct concave surfaces formed around a substantially pyramid-shaped spike, and a single curved tooth positioned next to a recess along a distal curved portion of a cutting perimeter of the first jaw, and a second jaw including a separation perimeter, an elongate cavity, and a fenestration hole disposed in the cavity, wherein the spike does not protrude through the fenestration hole when the first and second jaws are in a closed configuration, wherein the first and second jaws are adapted to move relative to one another between an open configuration in which the cutting perimeter of the first jaw is separated from the separation perimeter of the second jaw and the closed configuration in which the cutting perimeter of the first jaw mates with the separation perimeter of the second jaw, and the spike is aligned with the fenestration hole. |
