Zusammenfassung: | In a method for local heating of articles (1) with electromagnetic (EM) radiation, with simultaneous cooling of the immediate environment of the heated region by a fluid stream (2), the fluid stream and the EM radiation directed towards the heated region (4) are guided via completely spatially separated pathways. Independent claims are included for: (1) corresponding local heating apparatus, comprising an EM radiation source (10), a housing (11) opening towards the article to be heated, a channel (12) in the housing for guiding the radiation towards the article and a channel (13) between the housing and radiation guiding channel for fluid transported by a pump, ventilator or the like, where at least one housing wall perpendicular to the housing opening (16) has opening(s) (15) into the fluid channel (13); (2) a toothbrush head with at least two independently movable sections mounted in sprung manner in a connecting region on one end of the head, running in a V-shape initial configuration relative to each other, which on heating in the connecting region and applying mechanical force to the open end followed by cooling are converted into the final head contour with a constant width slot between the section, the novel feature being that the connecting region is heated by the above method; and (3) a toothbrush with a head as above.
