Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a data carrier (10) for integrating into a passport (100), comprising at least two plastic layers (40, 42) which are connected in a durable manner. Said data carriers (10) comprise a fixing area (36) which is embodied in a particular manner and which is to be fixed into the passport. According to the invention, a flexible, open-pored, web grill (50) is integrated between the layers (40, 42) and protrudes over the edge of at least one of the layers (40, 42) and extends into the fixing area (36). Said web grill (50) is laminated during the production of the data carrier (10).
