Zusammenfassung:	It is an object to provide an information processing apparatus that can reduce an unnecessary charge by highly reliably releasing a wireless line when the line is unnecessary to be connected. The information processing apparatus (101) is configured to be connected, as a result of a line connection by using a PPP, to a network system charged based on a connection period from establishment of the line connection to release of the line, and includes an input monitoring unit (60) that monitors a line-release operation input signal and a packet transmission/reception completion signal, and a communication control unit (70) that releases the line, when at least one of the line-release operation input and the packet transmission/reception completion is detected.
