Zusammenfassung:The invention pertains to a composite food product, preferably a composite dessert product, comprising at least a non-acidic dairy phase and an acidic food phase in contact therewith, wherein said acidic food phase exhibits a combination of pH and titratable acidity (TTA) below the line TTA = 30 * pH - 55, in which the pH is between 2.5 and 5. It is observed that the perception of a sandy and grainy layer is reduced within acceptable levels by combining a non-acidic dairy component with an acidic food component, wherein the acidic food component, if necessary after pre-treatment, exhibits a certain combination of pH and titratable acidity (TTA). The acidic food phase preferably contains yoghurt and/or fruit sauce, as these are often applied in desserts, the most favoured embodiment.
