Zusammenfassung:	Drive belt for use in a continuously variable transmission, such as for passenger cars, with two pulleys around which the drive belt is positioned, which drive belt comprises a continuous band set (31) on which a large number of transverse elements (33) are arranged, which elements can move along the band set (31) at least in a circumferential direction thereof, the band set (31) being provided with at least two adjacent, relatively thin metal bands, which are nested together in the radial direction and each have a radially inwardly facing main side and a radially outwardly facing main side, which main sides together define a combined surface roughness Ra', which is in the range between 0.9 and 1.4 micrometres.
