Reinforcement layer for Ultra High Performance pneumatic tyres with radial construction, in particular for producing tyre carcasses, and method to mount the reinforcement layer on a tyre assembly drum

The layer (6a,6b) has multiple layer sections arranged one behind the other on material web. The layer sections have reinforcement carrier (2,7), running diagonal to the longitudinal direction, embedded in rubber. The reinforcement carrier consists of rayon and two adjacent reinforcement layer sections are arranged overlapping at the transverse edge of reinforcement layers. A seam (4a,4b) is formed at the overlapped cross-edge of the reinforcement layer section, in which the reinforcement carrier has a smaller diameter than that at outside the seam. An independent claim is also included for the method for building a reinforcement layer for ultra high performance pneumatic tire with radial construction.
