Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to surface-modified pearlescent pigments whose surface is provided with at least one organic phosphoric compound of general formula (I) R1R2P(O)(OR3) and/or general formula (II) R1P(O)(OR3)(OR4), wherein R1 and R2 independently represent hydrogen or an organic radical comprising 1 to 30 C atoms, provided that R1 and R2 do not simultaneously represent hydrogen, R3 and R4 independently represent H or alkyl comprising 1 to 10 C atoms. The invention further relates to a method for producing said pearlescent pigments and the use thereof.
