Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a sensor for locating metallic objects, in particular, a metal sensor for construction materials, comprising at least one transmitting coil (116, 216) and one receiving conductor loop system (112, 212), which are inductively connected to one another. According to the invention, the receiving conductor loop system (112, 212) is formed by conductor structures on a printed circuit board (100, 200). The invention also relates to a method for evaluating a sensor of the aforementioned type during which the measurement signals are digitized, and a narrow-band digital filtering is carried out in order to reduce the noise bandwidth.
