Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a scutching device, comprising transport means for stems in a transport direction (X), essentially perpendicular to the orientation of the stems, with at least one gripping and driving means (60), for said stems and at least one breaker unit (30), comprising at least one pair of fluted superimposed breaker rollers (31-35). The invention is characterised in that said scutching device further comprises a fibre cleaning device, downstream of the breaking unit (30) and in a zone above said gripping and driving group (60), comprising means for projecting (42) downwards a fluid and/or particles in the direction of the stems by means of which the waste separated from the stems by the breaking unit (30) are removed from the stems which are held in said gripping and driving unit (60).
