The ladders comprise a movable ladder part (8) and a fixed ladder part (9), and an actuator (11) for placing the movable ladder part relative to the fixed ladder part in such a manner that the steps (8a, 9a) of the ladder parts are substantially at the same point. When the steps are being placed at the same point with each other, the beam (2) is substantially immobile.
