The transmitter branch (5) of the interface unit has terminals (10) to lighting bus leads having a smoothing circuit (C1,L,D). The signal controller output (B) is controlled by a transformer (C) and low pass filters (13,14) and a power transistor (12) to provide the required signal characteristics.
