Zusammenfassung:	The filter, e.g. for removing solid particles from ventilation air entering a motor vehicle, has a separator with permeable inlet (2) and outlet (3) surfaces, the inlet surface having a series of curved vanes (7) shaped to form compartments (16) that trap and retain solid particles while allowing the gas to pass through the slits between them. The filter is made e.g. from a polymer material, woven or non-woven fabric and glass fibres.
