Zusammenfassung: | In an elevator apparatus, a plurality of cars are raised and lowered within a hoistway. The cars are so provided within the hoistway as to be adjacent to each other when located at the same height. If at least one of the cars is defined as a first car and a car adjacent to the first car is defined as a second car, the first car is provided in its face facing the second car with a recess on a vertical projection plane. At least a part of a car guide shoe is disposed in the recess. |
