The heat exchange and the valve are maintained in switching positions during which oil flows in a lower temperature region based on pressure drop of oil flow in the heat exchanger. The oil flow exceeds an upper threshold with a specific volume flow percentage and falls below the threshold with a specific flow percentage during the drop. An independent claim is also included for a three-path switching valve with a ring separator.
