Zusammenfassung:	The device (10) comprises a base (24) and an inner pipe (12) moved vertically inside an outer pipe (11) by a spindle mechanism (16) in order to support the trailer of an articulated lorry when the driver's cabin is detached. A removal facility (25) is located at the outer pipe (11), also serving as a stop when the inner pipe (12) is lifted. The spindle nut (14) can be conveniently checked when the inner pipe (12) is removed while the remaining parts are held in place.
