Zusammenfassung:	The device has an electrical dummy load for a piezoelectric injector to be tested, where the load is connected between terminals. The load has a capacitor (8) and a suppressor diode (10), where the capacitance of the capacitor corresponds to the capacitance of the injector. A light emitting diode is connected to the capacitor. A current-direction dependant signal mechanism is switched in parallel to the capacitor. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing a piezoelectric injector.
