Zusammenfassung:	A drive for an injection unit in an injection moulding machine for plastic material, comprises an axial plastifying cylinder (13) that moves on a guide (3), and a plastifying worm (11) located in the cylinder and driven by a motor (71). A drive for an injection unit in an injection moulding machine for plastic material, comprises an axial plastifying cylinder (13) that moves on a guide (3), and a plastifying worm (11) located in the cylinder and driven by a motor (71). A second motor (69) drives the injection unit, and an injection unit moves the worm axially. A bearing housing is located on the guide, along with a pressure bearing for transferring axial loads during the plastifying and injecting cycle. Connection flanges are located in the housing, and the flanges have rotors and stators which are fixed to the housing. The primary rotor is connected to the connection flange at one end and the bearing housing at the other end.
