Zusammenfassung:	The device has a conveyor, on which an article stream is guided, and separating units working together with the conveyor, where the distances of the separating units can be changed. The separating units are held at conveyor chains (2) rotating by the conveyor and movable at a predetermined position of the conveyor. The conveyor chains are guided with respective lug suspensions in corresponding planes (6, 9), where the planes are brought on a same or changed distance to each other.
