Digital information can be transferred via passive inputs such as resistive or capacitive touch using a human finger or a stylus, via passive acoustic surface wave or electro-optical devices, via active technology such as inductive and RF inputs, and via active wired inputs such as a mouse or a touch pad. The preferred input mode can be selected by an operator, or simultaneous input modes can be sensed, differentiated, and prioritized by the apparatus.
