METHOD FOR REGISTERING A COMMUNICATION TERMINAL IN A WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK

The invention relates to a method for registering a mobile communication terminal (2) that is associated with a cellular mobile radio system in a wireless local area network. Said method comprises the following steps: a) the communication terminal (2) accesses a memory containing an allocation between cell identifiers of the cellular mobile radio system and identifiers of wireless local area networks, which have previously been detected in the cells of the mobile radio system; b) the communication terminal (2) is registered in the associated wireless local area network if the memory contains an entry for an actual cell of the communication terminal (2); c) a search for identifiers of wireless local area networks is done if the memory contains no entry for the actual cell, and the identifiers of a wireless local area network are stored in the memory if identifiers thereof are identified while being allocated to the identifier of the actual cell of the cellular mobile radio system, and the mobile communication terminal is registered in the associated local area network.
