Zusammenfassung:	The method involves receiving measuring and model values at two operating points of a motor. Information for fault diagnosis is provided from the variation of residues at the individual operating point. Fault isolation is made based on the overall evaluation of the individual measuring and model values. The diagnosis information of operating point dependant change of the deviation of the values is made. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program for executing a method for fault diagnosis of a motor control unit in an internal combustion engine (2) a controller and/or control unit for operating an internal combustion engine.
