Zusammenfassung:	Systems and methods for representing a tuner device (112) in a content directory service that is implemented in a media server (102) are disclosed. An exemplary method involves representing a tuner (112) as a tuner container (320). A broadcast channel which is accessible to the tuner (112) is represented as a broadcast item (322a, 322b, 422) within the tuner container (320). The exemplary method also involves exposing the broadcast item (322a, 322b, 422) within the tuner container (320) as an object for browsing by a control point (106). Information about the broadcast item may be sent to the control point (106) in response (528) to a browse request (526). A connection may be established with a media renderer (104) for transmission of content from the broadcast channel to the media renderer (104).
