Zusammenfassung:	Fire resistant mattress has foam core material (2), exhibits extensive cut at facing side of the lying surface, which adopts 70 percentage, preferably 80 percentage, more preferably at least 90 percentage of the lying surface. The cut is surrounded in the edge area of the lying surface by a foam material bar (4). A resting pad (5) of spacer textile, is inserted into the cut. The fibers of the spacer textile are heavily flammable.
