Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a method of building a tunnel comprising an arched structure (1). The method includes the step of driving elongate beams (2) substantially horizontally into the ground in a side-by-side relationship so as to create an arch-shaped structure of beams. The beams (2) are placed side by side in a watertight manner, and preferably a seal (13; 15) is inserted together with the beams. The ground below the arch-shaped structure is excavated and a floor (6) is provided to define the bottom of the tunnel. The floor may be founded. The invention also includes such tunnel.
