Method for performing handover and roaming functions in radio networks

The method involves performing handover and roaming procedures between a mobile radio communication terminal of a user and access stations. The mobile radio communication terminal of the user accesses any available network on a central network, and network database for providing information of all radio networks available at the present or immediate location of the user. The database is filled the information by the operator and fedback to mobile radio communications equipments or access stations. On the basis of the information received from the database the access to the network is selected without further necessary interactions of the user.
