Zusammenfassung: | A clamping assembly having at least one optical axis (17), and a pre-actuated state in which a fiber (14) is not secured to the clamping assembly and a post-actuated state in which a fiber is secured to the clamping assembly. The clamping assembly utilizes a first cam member (40) disposed within a housing (12), the first cam member being radially actuatable within the housing. The clamping assembly also utilizes a second cam member (50) disposed in the housing and axially slidable therein, the second cam member configured such that, upon forward motion of the second cam member relative to the first cam member, the first cam member is urged downward as a result of a camming action between the first and second cam members, which clamps the fiber (14) without unwanted bending or twisting of the fiber. The clamping assembly also utilizes an actuator (60) is disposed slidably within the housing adjacent the second cam member (50) and configured such that, when moved forward, it forces the second cam member forward relative to the first cam member (40). |
