Zusammenfassung:	Production of a layered material involves attaching a layer comprising thermally expandable microspheres to another layer of the layered material, and expanding the microspheres. The layered material comprises a carrying layer and at least one additional layer. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a layered material having at least layers of which one is a carrying layer and a layer having expanded thermoplastic microspheres positioned under the carrying layer; (2) a composition for impregnating or coating a substrate comprising thermally expandable microspheres and a polymer dispersion; and (3) an impregnated or coated substrate comprising thermally expandable microspheres and a continuous phase of a thermoplastic polymer.
