Zusammenfassung:	A thermostat valve (10) controls the coolant average flow of/from the combustion engine through a bypass and/or through a heat-exchanger back to the engine and has a valve entrance (11), and a thermostatic actuating element (13) in which a piston (15) in a housing (14) is displaced during heating of an expansion material. A second valve opening (18) associated with a second valve closure element (17) is contained within a mainly flat wall zone (20) of a side wall (21) of the valve housing (12) and the second closure element (17) is designed as a flat slider (22) approximately parallel to the molded wall zone (20) and positioned on the wall zone and is displaceable along it for opening and closing the second valve opening (18).
