Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are compositions and methods for treating, preventing, and ameliorating hypertension, especially in patients with coronary artery disease, patients at risk for strokes, patients with renal disease, and patients with diabetes or at risk for diabetes. The compositions and methods relate to a combination therapy using three classes of anti-hypertension drugs, including calcium antagonists, angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors, and diuretics. The preferred drugs in the compositions and methods are verapamil, trandolapril, and hydrochlorothiazide.
