Zusammenfassung:	The process involves locating position detectors with respect to a vehicle, and calibrating position of a test object (8) in a mark of a vehicle (7) by aligning the object with respect to a target (13) whose position is found with respect to a mechanical reference (18) of the vehicle. The object is aligned on the mark by an optical observation of the target using an optoelectronic camera integrated with the object and the target. An independent claim is also included for a system for synchronizing object position detectors.
