Zusammenfassung:	An antibody that specifically reacts with a protein comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of: (a) the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2; (b) the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 from amino acids 11 to 163; (c) the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 from amino acids 29 to 163; (d) the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 from amino acids 31 to 163; and (e) a fragment of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 having a CTLA-8 activity chosen from one or more of induction of expression or secretion of gamma -IFN, IL-6, or IL-8, or inhibition of angiogenesis.
