FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A FUELL CELL SYSTEM

The fuel cell (2) is connected in parallel with an electrical power supply battery (3) and also in parallel is an electrical load (4). Both the fuel cell and the supply have control switches (5a,b), e.g. MOS-FET devices. These can be independently and periodically switched to minimize power losses.
