Zusammenfassung:	The method involves receiving receipt information about a mobile with subset information received. Position of the subset of a base radio is determined if the receipt information is taken out and the subset for the mobile station receives two pre-determined radio signals. As the position of the subset (ms) of the base radio range is determined the receipt information is additionally taken out. The respective receiving power of the two pre-determined radio signals equal a pre-determined limit. An independent claim is included for determining a position of a subset (ms) of a radio communication system. Bei einem Verfahren zum Ermitteln einer Position einer Teilnehmerstation (MS) eines Funkkommunikationssystems liegt eine Empfangsinformation darüber vor, welche Funkstationen (BS1, BS4) des Funkkommunikationssystems die Teilnehmerstation (MS) empfängt. Erfindungsgemäß wird als Position der TeilnehmerStation (MS) ein Heimatfuhkbereich (B14) ermittelt, falls der Empfangsinformation entnehmbar ist, dass die Teilnehmerstation (MS) wenigstens zwei vorbestimmte Funkstationen (BS1, BS4) empfängt.
