Zusammenfassung:	Visual control device on illuminated printing plates (5) for printing machines is applied onto the printing plate during illumination in the form of at least one control marking (3) consisting of two parallel strips (32, 33). One strip (32) shows the non-calibrated tone value course and the other strip (33) shows the calibrated defined half-tone value. At least the region in which the non-calibrated tone value course and the calibrated defined half-tone value visually agree is shown on the control marking. Independent claims are also included for: (1) Alternative visual control devices; (2) Printing plate comprising a control device; and (3) Printing plate comprising at least two different control devices.
