Zusammenfassung: | The brush seals (7) prevent leakage between rotor (3) and a stator (1). Individual brush rings are held by interlocking brush ring carriers (9) with alternate straight (23) and concave faces (17) to form an integrated seal structure. A first straight face (15) on each brush carrier abuts against the straight face on the adjacent carrier. Hooks (25,27) outside the straight faces engage with grooves (21) defined by an end projection (19). Each brush ring carrier has a rigid inward-extending lip (33) with a large gap (C1) and a resilient inward-extending lip (29) with a small gap (C2) on the side with the concave face. |
