The hydraulic valve structure and an accumulator provide staged pressure control of hydraulic breakaway cylinder (38). The cylinder operating pressure absorbs energy as the boom section moves from the working position. The staged pressure increases the boom section and approaches the breakaway position of cylinder to limit momentum of the boom section.
