Zusammenfassung: | The component comprising a thin metal plate part(2) enclosed in injected plastic connects with an overlapping second part(3). Holes(4,5) in both the metal plate and second part align with each other and are penetrated by an injection molded plastic which connects both parts together. Further holes(7,8) in the metal plate and second part lie close to the first pair of holes and are also aligned with each other to allow a fastener to pass through. Fasteners comprise a bolt and a nut, the latter being welded to the rear side of the metal plate(2). The second part(3) may also comprise a metal plate near the fastening points and can be a hybrid component. An Independent claim is included for a method for repairing the claimed hybrid component when the second part is damaged and involves removal of the plastic connectors and separation of the nuts and bolts, renovation or replacement of the second part and reconnection with the nuts and bolts. |
