Pyrogenic silica having narrow particle size distribution
Silica with the following physical properties is new: (1) a BET surface area of 100-700 m 2>/g; (2) a dibutyl phthalate (DBP) absorption of 100-500 g/100 g (dry basis); (3) a compacted density of 100-250 g/l; (4) an Alpine sieve residue (above 63 Microm) of less than 5%; and (5) a particle size d...

Zusammenfassung: | Silica with the following physical properties is new: (1) a BET surface area of 100-700 m 2>/g; (2) a dibutyl phthalate (DBP) absorption of 100-500 g/100 g (dry basis); (3) a compacted density of 100-250 g/l; (4) an Alpine sieve residue (above 63 Microm) of less than 5%; and (5) a particle size distribution such that d 9 5 is less than 40 Microm, d 5 0 is less than 20 Microm and d 5 is less than 10 Microm. An independent claim is also included for a process for producing silica with a particle size distribution as above, comprising drying a silica suspension in a pulse combustion dryer.
Die Erfindung betrifft Kieselsäuren mit engen Partikelgrößenverteilungen und Verfahren zu deren Herstellung. Die Kieselsäuren können als Mattierungsmittel oder in Elastomerenmischungen verwendet werden. |
