Zusammenfassung:A system (200) and method (1200) of operation is configured to produce a PPML template (204) from a PDF document (202). In one implementation, the system (200) opens the PDF document (202) and converts PDF elements (208, 210) within the PDF document (202) into variable objects (212). A macro (220) is generated, which contains rules (222) governing use and reuse of the variable objects (212). The PPML template (204) generated as final result is configured to include a definition of the variable objects (212), the macro (220) and a version of the original PDF document (202), wherein at least portions of the PDF document (202) are configured as a background element within the PPML document (202).
