Zusammenfassung:	A connecting system for a flexible section (1) of a vehicle exhaust system has the layers forming the flexible section, i.e. outer braided wall (4), inner corrugated section (3) and inner flexible wall (2) tapered down onto the inner flexible wall and clamped inside a cylindrical sleeve (6) with a flanged end (7) facing the flexible section. The outer end of the sleeve, and clamped ends, are located into a cylindrical extension (13) of a double cone hollow coupling element (8) and secured by a single weld seam (14). The double cone element comprises a hollow pressing with cylindrical extensions (13, 15) at each end. The free end of the coupling can be shaped to best match the coupling end of the connecting exhaust element.
