Zusammenfassung:	To cover a workpiece (2.1) with a flexible material section (1.1), used to clad a workpiece of metal or plastics or a pressed mass, the material is laid within a recessed section (414) of a lower mold (4.03) to be held by suction with its edges at right angles to the mold plane, under the workpiece. The extended material edges (1.2) are pulled at an angle to the defined mold space (110), and then bent back and pressed against the workpiece. The material and workpiece are bonded together by the press action of the lowered upper press unit with a heated die (5.02).
