Zusammenfassung: | A rotor assembly (20) of an axial flow turbine engine has a bladed ring (26) including a ring (32), and a plurality of turbine blades (30) affixed to the ring (32) and extending radially outwardly from the ring (32). There is a solid state weld joint (34) between a central disk hub (28) and the ring (32) of the bladed ring (26). In one approach, the rotor assembly (20) is prepared by bonding the plurality of turbine blades (30) to the coarse-grain ring (32) so that the turbine blades (30) extend outwardly from the ring (32), providing the fine-grain central disk hub (28), and solid-state inertia welding the central disk hub (28) and the ring (32) of the bladed ring (26) at a solid state weld joint (34). |
