Zusammenfassung:	The fastening element for a tube, and especially a handrail, has an insert element (1,2) of elastic material for fitting into the tube, and a clamping element comprising a tensioning screw (4) with a threaded hole (10) and an associated nut (6). The insert element is installed between two guide discs (7,8) which have an outside diameter which for the guiding on the inner wall of the tube is slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the tube.
