The unstable fraction is able to decompose between the temperature of utilization of the electrical contact and the melting temperature of the metal by discharging a gas able to destabilize an electric arc. An Independent claim is also included for a method for the fabrication of this electric contact material. The electric contact material may also incorporate a refractory fraction (claimed).
