Zusammenfassung:The food item, which can be a soft cheese (11), is positioned on top of a first conveyor belt (29). The pointed blade (19, 21) can be vertically moved (R) with its upper end guided along a slot (25) provided at the drive housing (23). When the device is started vibrations are guided into the blade (19) by an ultrasonic converter (15) via a booster (17). Each of the vibrations performs a horizontal (S1) and a vertical (S2) motion resulting in the cheese (11) being minimally pushed away from the blade (19).
